Different with a cartridge faucet, it doesn’t need to add pressure; we just easily swing to shut the water.

Now, if we want to take off the mechanism apart of our faucet in case to make sure of what type is it, firstly we have to be sure that the water was shut off. Then, we take off the handle to observe inside of the faucet casing. Type of faucets compression will always have a tube that heading down into the faucet body, and cartridge faucets will always covered by plastic insides.

Same as with ball and disc types of faucet, cartridge type is also washerless. Ball models are run by only one handle which is swing back and forth among the cold and hot by mechanism single ball inside the faucet source. As ball types, disc model are also run only by single handle that extends outside towards the faucet and budges up and down to turn on and off the water, equipped with a horizontal button to adjust the hot and cold water levels.
